Many American businesses have shifted jobs overseas in an effort to reduce production and labor costs and increase profits. This trend is very apparent in the manufacturing sector as inexpensive labor is abundant and regulations are often less stringent in developing countries. This business strategy can often come with a price, however: poor quality, product inconsistency, and failure to support the local economy.
At Breezer Mobile Cooling, we are committed to not only manufacturing the highest quality American products, but also to supporting the community by employing local workers, many of whom are veterans. Of the 63 employees who work for us, 20% are veterans, some of whom contribute to the assembly of our products.
Based in Deerfield Beach, Florida, Breezer Mobile Cooling manufactures environmental cooling solutions that improve the comfort and safety of living and working conditions. The vision for the company came from a desire to create rugged cooling units that could cool troops in some of the world’s harshest environments. Founded in 2010 by a group of U.S. Army veterans, Breezer Mobile Cooling launched its first line of products to the U.S. market in 2012, including Power Breezer. Assembled right here in the United States, the Power Breezer can now be found across the world cooling workers, restaurant patrons, hotel guests, athletes, and of course, soldiers in all military branches.
Partnering with American manufacturers can have many benefits that foreign producers can’t match. American manufacturing is synonymous with quality and consistency. The experience and know-how of the American manufacturing workforce lends itself to a level of product quality, business transparency, and peace of mind knowing that products were skillfully produced and will stand up to the demands of the job. When working with American manufacturers, team members don’t have to overcome language or distance barriers, meaning strict product requirements are not only understood, they are met and delivered with a faster turnaround than it’s often the case with foreign manufacturers.
Beyond the clear advantages American manufacturing presents, Breezer Mobile Cooling is proud to employ this nation’s veterans as well. Veterans come from a background of discipline, teamwork, and flawless execution and they carry this mentality back into the American workforce. Their dedication and responsibility to the job is an intangible characteristic that cannot be replicated. Veterans know that in order to overcome overwhelming obstacles, they need to perform at their best and collaborate with their teammates to be successful. Whether working as a team or individually, veterans are incredibly resourceful, solving complex problems to accomplishing the mission. Their experience in persevering in extreme situations means they have what it takes to perform at a high level no matter the task. Breezer Mobile Cooling recognizes the benefits American veterans bring to the team and is proud to have them on board.
Breezer Mobile Cooling was founded with the commitment to use local and veteran manufacturing skills and will continue to do so. In fact, our team was recently recognized for our efforts to create jobs and opportunities for Florida families. “On behalf of the entire team at Breezer Mobile Cooling, I am honored to receive the Governor’s Business Ambassador Award,” said Joe Fairleigh, Vice President of Sales at Breezer Mobile Cooling. “We would like to thank Governor Scott for this recognition. It is our goal to continue to do our part to make Florida a great place to live and work.”
